LUCKNOW: Voicing concern over the scourge of international terrorism, thousands of students of City Montessori School (CMS), carrying banners and placards took out a peace march against global terrorism here on Friday.

lucknow: voicing concern over the scourge of international terrorism, thousands of students of city montessori school (cms), carrying banners and placards took out a peace march against global terrorism here on friday. the march, which commenced from kd singh `babu' stadium, was flagged off by mayor, dr sc rai, and culminated at gpo park. other eminent personalities, who took part in the march were justice bl loomba, rk mittal, gv patnaik and founder-manager of the school, jagdish gandhi.

speaking on the occasion, dr rai said that terrorism had brought the entire world to the brink of the third world war. rk mittal, ias, said that terrorism had spread its tentacles all around us. he called upon the people to unite for global understanding of world peace. justice bl loomba, former judge of allahabad high court, said that it was necessary to have an international law-making body and the world was in need of a world parliament. the children taking part in the peace march carried placards which read `peace is guidance, war is error', `peace is the foundation of god, war is the satanic institution' etc. they drew attention to the urgent need to safeguard the future of two billion children by eliminating all weapons of mass destruction.
