Parents learn about early signs of autism

LUCKNOW: If your child is struggling with academics, not responding to situations or showing learning difficulty, these could be
early signs of autism. Timely treatment, though, can help these children significantly.
These were the few tips which parents got from experts at a conference organized by the Association of Child Brain Research held in MB Club on World Autism Day on Tuesday.
Parents were also educated about the latest evidence-based interventions for treatment of autism in India. Three organizations were awarded for best practices in autism.
Former state election commissioner Satish Agarwal was the chief guest on the occasion.
The panel of judges included head of the neurology department at SGPGI Prof Sunil Pradhan, head of paediatrics at KGMU Prof Rashmi Kumar and Piyali Bhattacharya and Dr Ashok Roy from the Indian Association of Paediatrics.
