Open gyms in parks to be ready for fitness freaks by end of year
Lucknow: Nearly 80% of the work to establish 100 open-gyms in city parks has been completed in the culmination of the first phase. The rest of the work will be completed in the next phase.BJP Mahanagar president and member of legislative council (MLC) Mukesh Sharma, along with defence minister’s OSD KP Singh and his representative Diwakar Tripathi inspected the open gyms at parks in Jankipuram and Aliganj’s Uma Vatika, Janaki Vatika, Sita Vatika, Milan Park, and Mrityunjay Park. The work of setting up 100 open gyms in the parks is being done with the CSR fund of HAL through the municipal corporation to promote physical fitness and healthy living among citizens. The project is expected to be completed by the end of the year.The facilities will include an elliptical cross trainer, a recumbent cycle, two person parallel dip station and bar exerciser, arm wheel, walking cycle chair, shoulder press and squat with air walker, comfort cycle and other equipment.BJP media in-charge Praveen Garg said that during the inspection, local resident Shivendra Mishra said that it is really beneficial to have such a facility near the house. Keeping oneself healthy is very important nowadays.
