The next date of hearing is July 25. The PIL was filed by a local journalist Sachidanand alleging large scale misapropriation in Rs 3700 crore sanction by the centre government under NRHM for UP.
The NHRM scam is also said to be the main reason behind murders of two chief medical officers (CMOs), family welfare, in Lucknow. Deputy CMO YS Sachan, who was main accused in the scam and murders, was also murdered in jail. The court has already ordered a time bound CBI probe into the killings of medical officers.
UP chief minister Mayawati was forced to drop two ministers -- minister of family welfare Babu Singh Kushwaha and health minister AnantKumarMishra -- in April this year following disclosure of anomalies in NRHM and murder of two CMOs.
