Lucknow: National PG College (NPGC), the only autonomous college affiliated to Lucknow University will conduct an entrance test for admission to BSc and BCom courses for its own seats as well as for around 15 other colleges for the 2022-23 academic session.
The decision has been taken on the request of colleges which were not satisfied with LU’s centralized admission process.
These colleges had good experience in admitting students through Lucknow University Associated College Management Admission Test (LUACMAT) conducted by NPGC for admissions in eight management and professional courses.
NPGC accepted the request and has invited other colleges also who want to conduct admissions through its entrance test.
“For the first time, we will be conducting a common entrance test for BCom and BSc courses for other colleges also,” said NPGC admission coordinator Prof Rakesh Jain.
“We conduct our own entrance test every year for BCom, BSc and other UG courses and can do it for other colleges also. We invite other colleges also and will then finalize the entrance test schedule,” he added.
Many government and government-aided colleges like Shri Jai Narain PG College, Isabella Thoburn College don’t opt for LU’s centralized admission and now private colleges are also preferring NPGC’s centralized admission.
