LUCKNOW: Following continuous protests by activists, the district administration on Thursday issued notices to 21 city schools for not implementing the provision of 25% admission to poor children under the Right to Education (RTE) Act.

As per the official count, 261 children were to be admitted to 21 schools under the RTE Act. However, only 54 children were taken in by nine schools, leaving 207 children without admission.
