Lucknow: Navyug Kanya Mahavidyalaya organized a felicitation ceremony for its BA student Hardeep Kaur who was awarded a gold medal by Lucknow University for scoring the highest marks in philosophy. Kaur has scored the highest in the subject among students of Lucknow University and affiliated colleges.
LU arts faculty had organized a medal distribution ceremony on Thursday in which 10 students who had bagged medals but could not be conferred those during the convocation were awarded.
Kaur has received the NN Sengupta Smriti Gold Medal for scoring 97% in BA (Philosophy).
Meanwhile, other undergraduate students across colleges awarded a medal for securing the highest marks were
Shubham Singh for political science, Shruti Yadav for Sanskrit, Maria Khatoon for being the highest scorer in BA examination and Pratibha Singh for being the best student of Canning College. At the PG level, Methab Alam was awarded a gold medal for scoring the highest in Arabic literature, Anchal Saxena for geography), Prachi Mishra for home science and Sanaviya Fareed for sociology.
