LUCKNOW: 'Virasat', a two-day event by Spic Macay, organized by Avadh Girls' Degree College, began on Monday.
Eminent artists from across India will perform at the event. Shakir Khan, an internationally acclaimed sitarist, Unmesh Banerjee, a tabla artist, Madhulita Mohapatra, a celebrated Odissi dancer left the audience spellbound with their soulful performances on the first day of SPIC MACAY.
Pradip Narain, coordinator, Spic Macay, Lucknow Chapter also graced the occasion. The programme began with a formal welcome address delivered by Sadaf Chaudhary followed by a floral welcome to the guests.
It was followed by the sitar and tabla vaadan by Shakir Khan and Unmesh Banerjee. The Odissi dance performance by Madhulita Mohapatra captivated the audience.
Prof Nishi Pandey felicitated the artists with a shawl.
