UPSRTC buses

is on the rise.

On Saturday, about 3.2 lakh passengers boarded 4,200 buses operated by the corporation on different routes.

On June 1, when UPSRTC started operating buses after lockdown, around 52,000 passengers travelled and 2,240 buses were operated.

On June 2, the number increased to 68,000 passengers and 3,167 buses. On the third day of operation 1.1 lakh, passengers travelled in 3,720 buses followed by 1.7 lakh passengers boarding 3,800 buses.

On June 5, the number increased to 2.6 lakh passengers while the number of buses remained unchanged from the previous day.

Meanwhile, the regional managers and assistant regional managers have started collecting feedback from passengers for improvement in services.

UPSRTC is taking precautions. Bus depots and buses are being sanitized regularly.
