LUCKNOW: The officiating chief secretary AlokRanjan on Monday directed the officials to expand the ambit of common service centre to another 69 districts in the state. The project is being executed in six districts on a pilot project basis.
Reviewing the progress of e-governance project, Ranjan said the implementation of the project be taken from the state level down to the district level.

The state has 16,022 such centres, popularly called "Jansewa Kendras", which the chief secretary said need to be supervised exhaustively. He said only those centres be classified as "active" which receive 100 applications daily.
Ranjan also asked the officials to get the project upgraded by August 14. Also, awareness about the project be spread so that more people benefit from it, he added.
