Minor gangraped on marriage pretext; 3 held, main accused on the run

Lucknow: Police arrested three of the four miscreants accused of raping a minor on the pretext of marriage and forcing her to get an abortion.
All three accused were sent to jail by Sushant Golf City Police on Wednesday, while the police are conducting raids in search of the main accused.
A minor girl from Rae Bareli district had lodged a complaint at Sushant Golf City Police Station, alleging that a youth named Nikhil Yadav, alias Raja, first raped her by promising to marry her. When she put pressure on him for marriage, he threatened to kill her.
After this, Nikhil handed her over to his cousin Nitin.
Later, Nikhil's cousin Nitin Yadav, along with Vipin Pal and another unknown person (now identified as Gaurav), took her to a rented room, where they gave her intoxicants and gang-raped her. It was alleged that these people also made a video of the entire incident and threatened to make it viral.
It was alleged that the youths also got her abortion done to hide their crime.
The victim reached the police station and filed a named complaint against the accused, after which the police registered a case under the POCSO Act. Charges have also been made under the SC/ST Act.
On the information of an informer, the police arrested Gaurav, Vipin Pal, a resident of Basera Enclave and native of Sultanpur, and Nitin Yadav, a resident of Sultanpur, from near Dhodhankheda intersection in the locality.
