BSP chief
Mayawati is unlikely to even vote in them when Lucknow goes to polls on Sunday.
The former UP chief minister, who is registered as a voter in
Mall Avenue
, will be in Delhi on voting day.
On Saturday, after addressing a Bhopal rally, Mayawati flew to Bangalore for another public meeting before going to New Delhi. BSP sources close to her confirmed that 'Behenji' might not vote in civic elections in Lucknow.
Having decided to contest local bodies' elections on the party symbol after a gap of 17 years, Mayawati has fielded candidates on all 16 mayoral seats, including Lucknow.
Former additional advocate general
Bulbul Godiyal
is the party's mayoral candidate for the state capital. BSP has also fielded corporators in 100 wards of Lucknow.
