Lucknow: A case of murder was lodged against a 48-year-old woman and her three children at Madiaon police station on Thursday. Amit Yadav (32) a secretariat marshal resident of sector J in Aliganj. As per police, Yadav married widow Firdaus Jahan over three years back against the wishes of his parents. “Firdaus’ husband died of illness in April 2011 and Yadav married her.

Jahan produced the photographs of the Arya Samaj marriage to us to back her claims,” said circle officer of Aliganj area Akhilesh Narain Singh.
Yadav’s parents knew about his relationship with the older woman but never accepted the marriage. Firdaus stayed with her three children identified as Shabina, Annu and Arif, all over 20 years of age, at Bharat Nagar locality in Madiaon area.
Yadav used to visit the house regularly and at times stayed overnight. On the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday, Yadav reached the house around 10pm. Firdaus told police he was drunk and the two had a heated argument over some issues. “The relation of the couple had strained in the past few months and quarrels were common. Firdaus spoke to a friend on phone and Yadav did not like it,” added a policeman who grilled the family members.
Yadav went to sleep in his room and his body was found hanging. The family informed police about the incident around 9am and body was sent for postmortem. Meanwhile, Yadav’s kin, residents of sector J in Purania, were informed about the incident.

Yadav’s mother complained to the police and said the family of four murdered her son. A case under murder charges was lodged at Madiaon police station, but autopsy examination stated asphyxia as cause of death. “No injury marks were found and we feel Yadav may have committed suicide. The charges would be altered after probes accordingly,” added Singh.
