LUCKNOW: In an unusual case that came to light after the UP Board results were declared on Tuesday, six class 10 students of a school in Amethi district ‘failed’ despite scoring good marks in theory subjects.
All these six students of Shri Shiv Pratap Intermediate College in Amethi district were awarded three marks out of 30 in practical examinations in all six subjects.
School principal N K Singh said, “We are surprised how all these six students were given only three marks in their practical exams in all the subjects, while they all scored good marks in theory. They are intelligent students and one of them is our topper.”
Singh added, “We will write to the Board authorities to re-examine and rectify the error so that the students are not demoralised. We checked our award list and found all students have scored full marks in their practical and the same list was sent to the board.”
