Marathon rescue operationscontinue even after 24 hrs

Lucknow: The Alaya Apartments collapse saw a marathon rescue operation that has been underway for the last 24 hours and was in progress till late on Wednesday night.This was perhaps the first time that NDRF, SDRF, Army and fire-fighters were pressed into service , while a battery of ministers including Brajesh Pathak, AK Sharma, Danish Ansari, along with principal secretary, home, Sanjay Prasad, DGP DS Chauhan, divisional commissioner Roshan Jacob and CP SB Shiradkar and others remained present at the scene till past midnight.CM Yogi Adityanath also sought hourly updates of the entire operation.
