LUCKNOW: A special crime branch unit of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registered a case of murder against three named cops and three unidentified other cops in connection with murder of Kanpur businessman Manish Gupta on Tuesday.

The state government has appealed for a CBI probe in the case on October 1. Those named in the FIR include inspector Jagat Narayan Singh, sub-inspectors-Akshay Mishra, Vijay Yadav, and three unidentified cops.
