LUCKNOW: A 42-year-old labourer was injured while moving a
lift
frame in a duct at an under construction house in
Talkatora
on Saturday. The accident occurred when the rope holding the lift frame in place snapped and it fell on the construction worker.

Manzoor Ali was rushed to King George’s Medical University’s
(KGMU) Trauma Centre and his condition was stated to be critical.
Police said Ali was employed by a contractor and the under construction house was owned by one Devendra Tripathi of Rajajipuram.
As per reports, around 1.30pm Ali was moving the lift frame in a duct on the second floor of the house, while the frame hung by a rope. As the rope snapped, the heavy metal frame fell on Ali.
His co-workers pulled him out from under the frame and alerted the police.
Station house officer of Talkatora police station Dhananjay Singh said, “We are waiting for Ali’s family to file a complaint.”
