Lunch packs had liquor bottles: BJP MP Anshul Verma

LUCKNOW: An alleged distribution of liquor by BJP leader Naresh Agarwal during a Pasi convention at a temple in Hardoi triggered a row on Monday with local BJP MP

writing a letter to CM Yogi Adityanath while slamming Agarwal for going against the party's traditions.


According to reports, Agarwal, who switched over to BJP after being denied a

Rajya Sabha

ticket by Samajwadi Party, allegedly distributed lunch packets which also contained bottles of country-made liquor.

When contacted, Agarwal refused to comment saying that he did not know Anshul Verma.

"I won't comment since I don't know Verma," said Agarwal and refused to comment. Verma, a Pasi, said in his letter that lunch packets containing country-made were also distributed to children.
