Lucknow: Youth loses Rs 67,000 to fraud employer

Lucknow: Unidentified miscreants duped a job-seeker of Rs 67,000 after promising to facilitate a lucrative job for him.
Victim Abhinav Jha, got a call on August 28 from a man called Akash Verma who claimed he headed a company in Mumbai. He offered Abhinav a job and asked him to deposit Rs 10 using a debit card into an account after clicking a link.
Abhinav clicked the link and paid but the transaction said ‘failed’ so he tried two more accounts.Each time, he got the same message but Rs 67,731 was deducted from the three accounts. Police said investigation was on.
