Lucknow University proctor assaulted on campus

LUCKNOW: The shooting of a Hollywood movie at Lucknow University took an ugly turn on Wednesday after an expelled student along with his supporters created ruckus on the campus and allegedly assaulted chief proctor PawanAgarwal.
The student was reportedly creating disturbances in the shooting and also in the ongoing examinations. The unscrupulous elements were alleged with abusing university's proctorial board members and assaulting the chief proctor.An FIR has been lodged against the student. According to proctor Pawan Agarwal, Wasim Ahmed alias Pintu came to the protorial department and enquired about the shooting of the Hollywood film. He was denied information on the grounds that he was expelled. On this, he and his supporter identified as Manglabar Pandey disturbed students appearing for the MPhil Sanskrit examination. "When the proctorial team members asked them to leave the university, the two started abusing. They even assaulted us,'' said Agarwal.
Pintu was expelled for creating lawlessness on the new university campus last year. "We have lodged a complaint with the police questioning their entry into university, disturbing the peace while the examinations were going on,'' said Agarwal, adding that the two also issued life threat to the proctorial members.
