Lucknow: HC seeks government report on dog attacks

LUCKNOW: Taking cognizance of dog attacks in

Sitapur

, a Lucknow bench of the Allahabad high court on Thursday sought a reply from the state government on the steps being taken to check such incidents.

passed the order on a PIL filed by a lawyer. The state government has to submit its report within a month. The next hearing is on July 4.

The court also observed that “the problem of the feral dogs targeting young and small children may not only be confined to Sitapur but could be a statewide problem”.
