Lucknow DM Raj Shekhar transferred to Bareilly

Effecting a major administrative reshuffle on Friday, the Uttar Pradesh government transferred 21 IAS and 83 PCS officers including Lucknow district magistrate Raj Shekhar. Shekhar, who had been in charge of Lucknow for nearly two and half years, will move to Bareilly in the same capacity, and will be replaced by Satyendra Singh, who was until now vice chairman of the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA). In the other major change in Lucknow, chairman Mandi Parishad, Anoop Kumar Yadav will now take over as vice chairman LDA.

LUCKNOW: Effecting a major administrative reshuffle on Friday, the Uttar Pradesh government transferred 21 IAS and 83 PCS officers including Lucknow district magistrate Raj Shekhar. In the other major change in Lucknow, Mandi Parishad chairman Anoop Kumar Yadav will now take over as vice chairman LDA.
On Friday, the government also appointed Mukul Singhal as principal secretary to the department of planning, while wait-listed IAS PK Mohanty was appointed principal secretary to the animal husbandry department.
Among other transfers, Agra DM Pankaj Kumar has now been appointed special secretary in the department of home and will be replaced by incumbent Bareilly DM Gaurav Dayal. Special secretary to the department of infrastructure and industry, and NRI, Kanchan Verma, has been appointed DM Mirzapur, while Unnao DM Saumya Agarwal has been appointed special secretary in the agriculture production department.
On Friday, the government also effected a major reshuffle in the PCS cadre, transferring 83 officials, including additional DMs, city magistrates, and additional commissioners of divisions.
