The other two named in the FIR are Amil Shamsi and Shamil Shamsi.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (West Zone) Rahul Raj confirmed that an FIR has been registered against the three under charges of IPC 500 (defamation) and the Information Technology Act. A probe is underway.

In his FIR, Mirza alleged that he and his brother, Maulana Mohammad Mirza Yasoob Abbas, who is the general secretary of the All India Shia Personal Board, have earned a reputation for the college through hard work, and that the three accused have been tarnishing the college's image by posting defamatory content against it on social media.

Mirza stated in the FIR that the three accused have made posts on social media calling his family dishonest and traitors. They have also alleged that huge sums of money are taken for postings at the college.

The police also said that on October 2, Amil Shamsi, one of the accused in this FIR, lodged a similar FIR against Mirza Mohammad Abu Tayyab under charges of defamation.

Amil stated in the FIR that Mirza had made objectionable comments against him and his family on social media, and that people had started making inappropriate comments after reading those comments, due to which he was not even able to leave his house.
