LUCKNOW: Opposition led by SP plunged into the well of the House during governor Anandiben Patel‘sspeechin thejointsession of thestate assembly andcouncil on Thursday. SP members carried placards with messages such as ‘
Yogi government go back’, ‘withdraw CAA’, ‘stop assaults on protesting women’ and ‘release caste data’. Congress members held flex banners criticising the government for failing to generate employment. Members of the BSP also joined them.
Leader of the Opposition Ram Govind Chaudhary remained confined to his seat while his MLAs trooped into the well of the House. Later on, Chaudhary dumped the speech by the governor as a “bunch of lies”, saying the Yogi government had failed on all accounts.
