LUCKNOW: Chief judicial magistrate Rajesh Upadhyay on Monday rejected the bail plea of ex-BSP MLA Jitendra Kumar Singh alias Babloo in connection with an attempt to murder case.
Three separate FIRs had been lodged with Hazratganj police station on the directives of the court under section 156(3) of the CrPC. It was alleged that the ex-MLA along with his men barged into the Sausil Complex in Hazratganj and threatened the owner with dire consequences forcing him to vacate the premises.

The police had earlier said that the ex-MLA could not be arrested without warrant. The court therefore had issued NBW against the ex-MLA in compliance of which, the ex-MLA was arrested.
Babloo had also expressed danger to his life in the district jail. He has demanded the court that he should be permitted for separate cooking in the jail. The jail authorities opposed this demand pleading that the jail manual did not provide such facility to any accused. The court fixed December 14 for its order on the demand of ex-MLA.
