Lucknow: Brigadier Ravi Kapoor, Group Commander,
NCC Group Headquarters, Lucknow retired on Tuesday after over 34 years of military service.
On this occasion, a grand farewell ceremony was organised at NCC Group Headquarters. According to the tradition of Indian Army, his farewell was done by towing the jeep with flower showers and raising slogans.
Kapoor was commissioned from the Indian Military Academy Dehradun and got his early education from Birla Vidya Mandir Nainital.
He did BTech (Civil) from BITS Pilani and MPhil from DAVV Indore.
During his 18 months tenure at NCC, he encouraged and guided all the 10 battalions of Lucknow group having 20,000 NCC cadets. Kapoor has conducted about 40 NCC camps for the battalions.
