Lucknow: On the eve of the verdict, both Hindu and Muslim litigants in the Ayodhya title suit reiterated on Friday they will accept the SC verdict and expressed hope peace will prevail in the country.

"My happiness knows no bound since I heard the judgment would be pronounced on Saturday morning. Whatever the court decides will be welcome. Whoever is born in India will accept the apex court's decision," said Mahant Dhinendra Das of the

Nirmohi Akhara

, which is a party in the case.



"We will welcome the verdict whichever way it goes," said chairperson of UP Sunni Central Waqf Board, Zufar Farooqui.

Triloki Nath Pandey, who represents Ram Lalla Virajman (Friend of Lord Ram) in the court, told TOI: "We had been waiting for this day and kept tab on news on the case." He added: "We were expecting the verdict around November 14-15, but are happy that it would be pronounced on November 9."



Iqbal Ansari, son of the oldest litigant from the Muslim side, Late Hashim Ansari, shared the same sentiment. "News of the SC verdict on Saturday is welcome. Whatever is decided by the apex court will be accepted by all parties and all people. We are not scared of anything. We will stay at home and follow the verdict in detail since morning."

In 2010, the

Allahabad high court

had divided 2.77 acres of the disputed land into three parts, with Nirmohi Akhara, Ram Lalla Virajman and the UP Sunni Central Waqf Board each getting the right to one-third of the land.

The three sides then challenged the high court order in the SC.
