Lift malfunction: Another LDA apartment, another risky snag

Lucknow: In yet another incident of lift malfunctioning at a Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) apartment in Jankipuram, a food delivery agent Ramesh Kumar was stuck inside the elevator for nearly 15 minutes at Sargam Apartment on Saturday. This was the eighth such incident since January.
Kumar took the lift to deliver food in the N-Block of the apartment at 9.30am when the elevator stopped and remained shut for 15 minutes.The electrician of the apartment building was called and he helped restart the lift. The supervisor of the apartment, Ranjeet Singh claimed, “There is not enough backup for the automatic rescue system of the lift to start. It was a technical issue and will be resolved in due time.”
