LUCKNOW: City boy Harsh Mishra bagged the third rank in the country in the ISC exam results. Harsh, a student of La Martiniere Boys College, scored 98.5% marks and shared the rank along with Rochak Gupta of St Peter's College, Agra. The country topper is Bhuvanya Vijay, a student of St Joseph's Academy, Dehradun, who scored 99% marks. Confirming the results, chief executive and secretary, CISCE, Gerry Arathoon said, "The two boys from UP have secured 98.5% and hold third position in India.'' Arathoon, however, added that no student from UP was in the top three positions in ICSE, class X.
Ansh from Seth MR Jaipuria School, and Akshat Srivastava and Anupraas Gautam from City Montessori School (CMS) scored 98% in ISC. Anuja Trivedi of CMS topped the ICSE in the city with 97.8% marks. Amrit Singhal of La Martiniere Boys College and Shubhi Jain of Loreto Convent were joint second with 97.6% marks.
Harsh celebrated his moment of glory with his family members. "I give credit to self-study for my success,'' said an elated Harsh. His father, Sharad Mishra, who works with the the Central excise department, said, "It is the most memorable day of my life. I think allowing him for recreational activities like cycling helped in scoring such impressive marks.'' Harsh aspires to become an engineer and has successfully qualified JEE Mains.
Akshat and Anupraas attributed their success to hard work and dedication but not without fun filled activities. "Playing games, relaxing, going out for movies was part of our strategy,'' said the duo. Ansh shared, "Studying for less hours but with sincerity and concentration is the key to success.'' Hanging out with her parents every weekend added to Shubhi's report card.
In UP, 31,277 students (18,442 boys and 12,835 girls) appeared in ICSE from 281 schools, while 21,574 students (12,277 boys and 9,297 girls) took ISC exams from 218 schools. The pass percentage in ICSE is 96.59% and 94.02% in ISC. Overall, girls have done better than boys. In Lucknow, 7,531 students appeared in ISC from 61 schools while 9,486 appeared in ICSE from 73 schools. ICSE was conducted in 64 written subjects, including 23 Indian and 12 foreign languages. The ISC exams were held in 50 written subjects including 14 Indian, five foreign and two classical languages.
From CMS, 4,546 students (class X, XII) appeared, of whom 4,533 qualified the examinations. CMS PRO Hari Om Sharma said 1,104 students scored above 90% marks.
From Seth MR Jaipuria School, 53 out of 234 students secured more than 90% marks in ISC exams. In ICSE, 90 out of 250 scored above 90% marks. Principal Anju Wal expressed happiness and congratulated students on their excellent performances. Shrishti Agarwal, Prerna Mishra and Rashi Pandey topped the ICSE in Jaipuria school with 96.4% marks.
In La Martiniere Boys College, 170 out of 172 students cleared the ISC exams. Out of these, 31 secured above 90% marks. In ICSE, 238 out of 240 students qualified, of these, 50 secured above 90% marks.
Loreto Convent's ICSE topper is Shubhi Jain and ISC topper is Radhika Iyer. Malvika Sharad topped the ISC in La Martiniere Girls College with 97.7% marks while Radhika Mehra secured 95.8% marks in ICSE.
In Modern Academy Gomtinagar, Sumit Dhariyal (95%) topped the ICSE while Devisha Agarwal topped ISC with 95.75% marks. In Lucknow Public Collegiate, Priyanka Negi topped ICSE with 93.2% marks while Ashutosh Verma secured 92.75% marks.
In St Francis Boys College, Ayush Jain secured 95.6% marks in class X while Utkarsh Saxena topped the class XII exams. In Lucknow Public School, Priyam Raj topped class X with 96.8% marks. Shivangi Saklani topped class XII with 97.5% marks.
In SKD Academy, Paras Trivedi topped ICSE with 95.8% marks while Karan Lalwani scored 97.2% marks in ISC. In Spring Dale School, Sarvodya Pandey topped ISC with 96.3% marks.
