Kaushal Raj Sharma to remain Varanasi DM

LUCKNOW: Aday after transferring Kaushal Raj Sharma as commissioner of the Prayagraj division,the state government reversed its decision and has retained him as the district magistrate of Varanasi. Sharma, a 2006 batch officer, was the DM of Lucknow from 2017 to 2019, before being transferred to Varanasi. As a result,S Rajalingam, who had been posted in Sharma's place, will now retain his earlier post, that of DM Kushinagar.

Vijay Vishwas Pant, a 2004 batch officer,who was divisional commissioner of Azamgarh, has now been transferred to Prayagraj in the same capacity.
