LUCKNOW: Union minister of state for housing and urban affairs and Mohanlalganj MP Kaushal Kishore declared total assets amounting to Rs 7.5 crore in his affidavit submitted to the district election officer in his nomination for the seat for third term.

Kishore’s assets include movable assets worth Rs 1.08 crore and immovable assets worth Rs 6.43 crore. His assets increased around Rs 2 crore from 2019. He has a four-wheeler registered in his wife’s name along with jewellery valued at Rs 5 lakh.

Sixty-four-year-old Kishore’s political journey spans several significant positions. He served as a member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly from 2002 to 2007 and was the minister of state in UP in 2003-2004. Kishore, a science graduate, was elected to the 16th Lok Sabha in May 2014 and re-elected to the 17th Lok Sabha in May 2019.

Kishore has two criminal cases against him related to poll code violations.
