LUCKNOW: Soon after hearing the news of eight cops being killed allegedly by the gang of her son,

Vikas Dubey

, his mother Sarla Devi, who lives at Krishnanagar in Lucknow, told reporters that "he should also be killed in an encounter". Devi lives with her other son Deep Prakash Dubey.

Sarla told reporters that she condoles the death of cops who died in the operation and would not be sad if the same treatment is also meted out to her son.



She also said that Vikas last visited them in April after that they have no clue about him.

Sarla lives with her younger son Deep Prakash Dubey, her daughter-in-law-Anjali Dubey and grandchildren -- Gungun and Ram at Indralok Colony in Krishnanagar.

She also said that Deep Prakash had gone to offer prayers around 8 am and since then has not returned home.

Anjali Dubey also happens to gram Pradhan of Chaubeypur village in Kanpur. Vikas's father stays at the ancestral home in Bikru vilage in Kanpur. He is suffering from paralysis. Two sons of Vikas -- Akash and Shantanu along with their mother Sonam -- also stay in the village.

Police forces of as many three police stations -- Krishnanagar, Alambagh and Sarojininagar -- raided his house in Indralok Colony on Friday morning and also detained Anjali and a lady relative for questioning.

Another team was also searching for Deep Prakash.
