LUCKNOW: Within an hour of the first technical glitch on the first day of public launch of
Lucknow Metro, another Metro train was halted ahead of
Alambagh Metro station
for almost 23 minutes.
The passengers were stranded inside the coaches with no water or air conditioner.
Unlike the first incident, here the train was be fixed in less than half an hour as the Lucknow Metro team was able to understand the glitch.
In the first incident, the team took more than 2 hours to send the rescue train.
Even worse was when the stranded commuters got down at Alambagh station midway but couldn't get out of the gates because their tokens and cards were not working.
There were few senior citizens who said they felt suffocated inside the coaches. The team was able to run the train after 23 minutes after fixing the problem.
However the panic prevailed at Metro stations because of back-to-back technical glitches on the first day of run. Passengers questioned the testing parameters of Lucknow Metro, for which trials were were being done for last six months.
