IIM-Lucknow student dies in accident

LUCKNOW: A student of the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow died when an unidentified truck hit his two-wheeler near Khadri in Madiaon police station area on Sunday morning.
The driver of the truck fled the spot after hitting the IIM student. The victim was identified as Abhishek Goswami (23), a resident of Ghaziabad.Abhishek who was pursuing second year of postgraduate programme at the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow was coming towards city side from IIM Road.While driving his two-wheeler (HR 26-BB-7468), Abhishek had reached near Khadri, when an unidentified truck hit his motorcycle. Abhishek died on the spot, the police said.
The police rushed to the spot and started investigation into the matter. Efforts were on to ascertain the identity of the truck driver who escaped after the accident. The police said that Abhishek's body had been sent to mortuary for postmortem examination. Family members of Abhishek also reached the mortuary late in the evening.
