The advanced high resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS) facility, was installed in the chemistry department of
Lucknow University on Saturday. The machine will enable students to get precise identification of molecular structures and chemical formulas, along with highly accurate detection of trace-level impurities in samples.
It will also support pharmaceutical and drug analysis by ensuring purity and composition of compounds, while playing a key role in environmental testing by detecting pollutants in air, water and soil.
