Hostel owner found dead in Indira canal
Lucknow: Body of hostel owner, Deepak Kumar Mishra, (27) was recovered from Indira canal in BBD area. His body was found stuck near the Salempur regulator. Police claimed that a post-mortem examination has revealed drowning as the cause of his death.
Deepak belongs to Gonda and lived here on rent near the City Law College in Lucknow.
He ran hostels and used to study law.

Deepak’s elder brother Rahul Mishra is a lawyer who told police that Deepak's mobile was switched off since June 20.
“When Rahul reached the house on Wednesday, he did not find his brother and learnt that Deepak had not returned from Tuesday. Later, he informed the BBD police station and gave a complaint expressing apprehension of an untoward incident,” said the police.
Nagram police was informed by the people of Salempur village about the body of a man being dumped in the canal.
SHO, BBD, Vinay Kumar Saroj, said that with the help of locals and divers the body was fished out.
