Holi festivity soaked in colours of joy

Lucknow: Enthusiasm, warmth and vibrant cultural expressions marked Holi Milan programme, ‘Rang Barse', organized under the aegis of the Lucknow Connection Worldwide (LCWW) Facebook group, at a guest house in Nirala Nagar on Saturday.The celebration featured musical performances, humorous poetry and traditional Holi folk songs. Singers Jyoti Prakash, Raman Srivastava, Saurabh Gupta and Rakesh Lalwani presented melodious renditions. Anju Yadav, Dr Madhvi, Anil Tandon, Sadhna Srivastava and Ila Gupta presented lively dance performances.Awadhi poet Sandeep Anuragi delighted the audience with his witty and humorous verses.Members also celebrated Phoolon ki Holi (Holi with flowers) and enjoyed traditional delicacies.LCWW founder Sunil Mishra welcomed participants and organizers and said that such gatherings kept rich festive traditions alive while strengthening bonds of friendship, warmth and cultural connect among Lucknowites spread across the globe.Director of Vaga Hospital, Dr Vaibhav Singh, who was the chief guest on the occasion, remarked that active social engagement brought positive energy to life and contributed to a longer and healthier lifespan.
