lucknow: government has transferred 15 deputy superintendents of police (dsps) and four additional superintendents of police (asps) with the permission of the election commission in the state. a go to this effect was issued here on late sunday night. these officers have been shifted following directives of the election commission (ec) to the state government to transfer those police officers who were on duty at one place for more than four years.
however, the ec is yet to approve the shifting of the superintendents of police of ghazipur and ballia districts. both ips officers, ak rai of ghazipur and sujit pandey of ballia, had sought transfer on personal reasons, official sources said here on monday. the asps who were transferred are: lalji shukla and ajay mohan sharma, both from allahabad district to police headquarters, allahabad; while ashok kumar pandey and virendra bahadur singh from police headquarters, allahabad go to allahabad district. the dsps are: rs tyagi from saharanpur to aligarh, vk mishra from aligarh to saharanpur, rn mishra from varanasi to faizabad, mohammad ilyas from agra to kanpur city, pankaj gautam from allahabad to lucknow, mp singh from bahraich to ambedkarnagar, np singh from ambedkarnagar to bahraich, rk pandey from gautam buddhnagar to agra, sb singh from siddharthnagar to sant kabirnagar, gp arya from kanpur city to agra, alok priyadarshi from ghaziabad to gautam budhnagar, bs sisodia from sant kabirnagar to sidharthnagar, rp singh from faizabad to allahabad, gp singh from lucknow to bareilly and ec sharma from bareilly to ghaziabad.
