The secretary higher education, within 24 hours, sought explanation from the university as to why decision of sine die closure was taken when according to student leaders there was no law and order problem on the campus.
The university, in its reply provided details of criminal records of all the seven student leaders and day-wise account of violence perpetrated by the student leaders on the campus since November 21, which forced the closure and purging of the hostels.
