The decision was announced by chief minister

Aditya Nath Yogi

on Wednesday.

The CM was presiding over a meeting with government departments on increasing air pollution across UP.

Yogi also said that water should be sprinkled on roads using tankers of the fire department so that dust is settled. There should be mass awareness campaigns through FM and community radio to prevent garbage and stubble burning, said the CM.

Such campaigns will go on till January 15. To check vehicular pollution, old vehicles must be reviewed and necessary action be taken.
