Got jobs during Covid: IIIT-L students ahead of convocation

The students of Indian Institute of Information Technology, Lucknow, (IIIT-L) are all praise for their alma mater as it helped majority of them grab lucrative jobs at the time of the Covid-19 pandemic when there was a severe job crunch.

Lucknow: The students of Indian Institute of Information Technology, Lucknow, (IIIT-L) are all praise for their alma mater as it helped majority of them grab lucrative jobs at the time of the Covid-19 pandemic when there was a severe job crunch.
“The entire credit for our success goes to our institute,” said a student who is set to get a gold medal at the convocation ceremony to be held on April 23.
A total of nine medals, including three gold, silver and bronze each will be awarded to students during the ceremony.
The institute will be awarding medals to meritorious students of 2019, 2020 and 2021 batches during the ceremony.
“No institute gives the flexibility to do internship at an organization for more than two months, but IIIT-L supported me and gave me the permission for internship for 11 months which eventually helped me grab a good job at the same organization,” said gold medal winner, MTech (computer science) 2021 batch Sankalp Sharma.
A student of BTech (IT) 2021 batch, Gaurav Singh said, “I was made placement coordinator at the institute and was given the job to schedule and coordinate placement drives for our seniors. The exercise helped me gain leadership qualities which at present is helping me a lot in my job.”
Another BTech (IT) 2020 batch student Vikash Tripathi said, “To get a good score, one should learn the art of asking questions. More you question, the more you learn.”
