LUCKNOW: The UP Police jawans can very well do a Jackie Chan act. At least it reflected in the show of daredevilry they presented at the Police Lines on Saturday.
They showed how to chain a criminal without using ''body cuffs'' like wrist lock, elbow lock and neck lock, in case there are no handcuffs.
Then there was one cobra commando, pulling a bus with a rope in his mouth and his colleague thrashing a bunch of tube lights in just one go.
Another attraction was the dog show wherein the ''gutsy'' squad dogs, Raja, Zeenat, Pepsi, Deepak and Tiger crossed the ring of fire after crossing the hurdles.
The dog trainers tactfully highlighted the sense discrimination and self-restraint qualities of these squad dogs. Many of them have been parts of the investigation teams solving major cases.
The bomb diffusion display by the bomb disposal squad brought rounds of applause and so did the performances by the mounted police.
The event brought the officers of the fire department, PAC commandos and the dog squads of the CB-CID under one roof.
