on Monday granted bail to former Samajwadi Party minister Gayatri Prajapati in a case of kidnapping and eveteasing.

The court also granted bail to co-accused

Ashish Shukla

.

It directed them to file two sureties of Rs 50,000 each and personal bonds of the same amount.

Filing the bail application, the accused had pleaded that they were innocent and had been implicated in the case. They also stated that even the complainant had denied having lodged any FIR against them.

On October 26, 2016, a woman from Chitrakoot had allegedly lodged an FIR with Gomtinagar police against

Prajapati

and Shukla. Prajapati was taken into judicial custody in the case on April 29, 2017.

The police had filed a chargesheet in the case on July 27, 2017.
