Gangster Abu Salem writes to UP Police, urges them to save his ancestral land

NEW DELHI: Gangster Abu Salem who is currently lodged in Mumbai's Khargar jail has written a letter to Azamgarh's Sarai Mir police in Uttar Pradesh asking them to investigate a matter related to illegal grabbing of his ancestral land in his village.
In the letter, Salem has alleged that a piece of land, which was co-owned by him and his brother, has been illegally occupied by six men.

Till March 30, 2013, the property was in the name of Salem and his brother, he wrote in the letter. However, the family recently discovered that the documents of the property bore the name of six men- Mohammad Nafees, Mohammad Shaukat, Sarvari, Mohiuddin, Akhlaq and Nadeem Akhtar.
Salem has alleged that these people are trying to grab his land and demanded that a case be registered against them.
On investigation, the police found that the other party had the possession of the land in 2002 and currently, a mall is being constructed at the site.
