Sushma Verma, the 10-year-old wonderkid from the city, will now be getting free education in BSc and a monthly scholarship of Rs 500 per month. "I am excited but this would hardly help me in fulfilling my dream. I want to become a doctor as early as I can. It's my request to the government to release my CPMT result, so that I can start my studies,'' said Sushma, while talking to TOI.
Jagdish Gandhi, founder of CMS, the college extending help to Sushma, said: "The girl is a gem and she should be given special privilege for medical exams.''
Sushma had passed Class X at seven years of age and her name was included in the Guinness Book of World Records. She appeared for Combined Pre-Medical Test, 2010 but, her result has been withheld till now. On Tuesday, even the admission committee of
Lucknow University finally gave its consent to allow Sushma to pursue graduation.
