Free coaching institute helps 15 clear JEE Main
Lucknow: Mahamana Shikshan Sansthan in Arjunganj has recorded an impressive performance in the JEE Main results declared on Monday, with 15 of its 16 students from the mathematics stream clearing the examination in their first attempt.
The achievement has drawn attention to the institute’s model of providing free engineering entrance coaching alongside regular Classes XI and XII studies. Four students scored above 90 percentile, adding to the institution’s distinction and underlining its work among students from economically weaker families.
Among the prominent performers are Piyush Ram Tripathi from Gorakhpur, Shashi Prakash Kushwaha from Chandauli, Anshuman Pandey from Pratapgarh and Atharva Srivastava from Rae Bareli.
Teachers said many of the successful candidates belong to families of farmers and daily-wage labourers, making the results especially significant. Three girls from the institution’s Balika Prakalp also cleared JEE Main in their first attempt.
Ranjiv Tiwari, secretary of Mahamana Shikshan Sansthan and an IIT-BHU alumnus, said the outcome reflected the institute’s commitment to offering quality education and competitive exam preparation free of cost to deserving students. The institution is run by Bhaurao Deoras Seva Nyas and managed by BHU alumni as a service-oriented educational initiative.
Prof Sourabh Malviya said the institute has been operating in Arjunganj since 2019 with community support and offers free coaching for IIT-JEE and NEET along with value-based education for Classes XI and XII. He added that selected students from low-income families are also provided boarding, lodging, computer and internet facilities.
According to the institute, more than 60 of its former students are currently pursuing BTech and MBBS courses at reputed institutions across the country. Free coaching is conducted by IIT-BHU alumnus Aditya Kumar and his team. The admission process for the 2026-27 session will begin on May 1 for eligible Class XI aspirants.
