Four killed after inhaling toxic gases inside septic tank in Kushinagar

Lucknow: Four people, including a man and his 25-year-old son who was to get married on June 10, died after inhaling toxic gases inside a septic tank in Kushinagar district on Sunday evening.According to Nibua Naurangiya SHO Atul Srivastava, Nand Lal Kushwaha, 48-year-old resident of Bahora Ramnagar village, entered the septic tank of his own house to clean it and was knocked unconscious because of the toxic gases. “Nand Lal entered his overflowing septic tank and used a bucket to scoop out sewage. However, he passed out soon afterwards. His son Nitesh, 25, called out for his father many times and on hearing no response, entered the septic tank himself,” the SHO said based on the account of the villagers.tnn
