LUCKNOW: Deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak has instructed officials of Chak Ganjaria Cancer Institute to start admitting patients on 200 beds.

During an inspection of the institute on Wednesday, the deputy CM was informed by chief medical superintendent (CMS) Dr Anupam Verma that inpatient service at 200 beds is hindered due to lack of hands. On this, Pathak directed additional chief secretary Alok Kumar to immediately fill the vacancies so that patients’ admission can start soon. Pathak directed officials to ensure that four operation theatres should be made functional soon. He also asked them to expedite the process of giving benefits of Ayushman Yojna to beneficiaries.

Expressing concern over filthy conditions prevailing in the institute, the DyCM instructed administrative officials to maintain cleanliness on the campus. When doctors told him that they are not getting benefits of the seventh pay commission, Pathak asked the ACS to do the needful.

Pathak instructed officials to Increase the number of beds in the hospital.
