Exhibition on birth anniv of ‘wash painting’ pioneer

Lucknow: A painting exhibition was organized at Hazratganj Metro Station on Friday on the occasion of 109th birth anniversary of eminent artists Prof Sukhvir Sanghal, who is known for popularizing wash painting technique in India.The exhibition was inaugurated by former deputy CM Dinesh Sharma. General manager operations (UPMRC) Swadesh Singh, Director Indian National Trust for Art and Culture Heritage (INTACH) Dharmendra Mishra, veteran artist Mohammad Shakil, co-ordinator of State Lalit Kala Akademi, Bharat Bhushan were present during the programme. Besides, a painting workshop and competition was also organized for the underprivileged kids.
