Ex-classmate arrested for assault on girl

Lucknow: A girl's former classmate made an obscene video of her and resorted to blackmailing to force her into submission for love, also threatening her with an acid attack. The incident was reported in Vikasnagar. The accused, Karan Verma, studied with the girl and was arrested on Saturday.
The girl, a student, alleged that whenever she left the house, he would follow her. Last Thursday, he called her deceitfully and beat her up. ACP, Indiranagar, Anindya Vikram Singh said that the student is a resident of Aliganj. "They met two years ago. Karan studied in her school and developed a friendship with the girl, during which he obtained her mobile number. During their meeting, he made an obscene video. Then, threatening to make it viral, he started forcing her to have physical relations," Singh said. TNN
